The 14' 2 TOURNAMENT Rock REMASTERED. 125 - 200 gram Heavy fishing J into C curve unique action blank. Optimum 150 - 200 grams. Japanese shrink wrap & butt Cap. The most interesting of all of our rods and one that some people were put off originally by the name.

So let's just say that this new remastered version should not just be for rock anglers. The action really is unique as it starts as a super fast J-curve which smoothly transfers into a powerful C-curve mid section that then locks, and generates the power in the butt. It's quite a thing to behold.

This REMASTERED version is made using the original Tourney Rock mandrels but far exceedes it in terms of possible distances and power levels. Put simply this blank will cast 300 yards in the right hands. The real advantage that this rod has over some other rock rods is that fact that it bends, the J-C means it has a suspension, so no matter how bumpy your ride, it will be able bring that fish in.

Originally made for multiplier as back then not many rock anglers anywhere used a fixed spool. But times have changed and so have the way that a lot of rock anglers fish, so these new remastered Tourney Rock blanks now allow this iconic rod to be built however you want it, so fixed spool anglers can get to see why it's such a cult rod. For fixed spool, the size of the reel and its placement makes a huge difference when selecting ring sizes and spacings. The breaking down of coils with more rings and smaller rings is far quicker than with high stand off rings. Please use our suggested spacings as a starting point when talking to your rod builder about the build.

For multiplier, our spacing suggestions are for low stand off rings which are better at following the contours of the blank, more important are the number of rings and how they are spaced in the tip. All four blanks come with new anyfish REMASTERED graphics, old-school shrink wrapped butt and butt cap. Tip section spacings are in inches from the centre of the ring frame to the centre of the next rings frame. Butt spacings are from the end of the butt to the centre of the rings frame. Tip: 12mm 3.5 bore.
